How to choose where your app documents live
Several tools publish the pages an app needs. They differ less in features than in what they assume you want, and that assumption is what you are really picking. Here is how to tell them apart.
Four different products wear the same description
Document-only generators give you privacy and terms at a hosted URL and stop there. Landing builders lead with a marketing page and treat the documents as an extra. Generic page builders do neither specifically and leave the store requirements to you. Compliance suites aim at company legal teams and are priced for them. All four get described as "app legal pages", and they suit different people.
The question worth asking is what happens in a year
Publishing is the easy part; every tool here does it. What separates them is the second year: store rules move, your app adds an SDK, an obligation appears that did not exist when you shipped. A tool that only publishes leaves that entirely to you noticing. Ask what any candidate does when a requirement changes, and treat "nothing" as an answer rather than an omission.
Compare annual cost, not monthly price
Most of this category is priced monthly and used for years, so the number that matters is the annual one. A tool at USD 7 a month is USD 84 a year. One-time pricing looks cheaper until you ask what happens when the document needs to change. Work out the yearly figure for each candidate before comparing anything else.
Things worth checking before you commit
Whether the URL stays yours if you stop paying. Whether you can edit a document without redeploying anything. Whether documents can be versioned, translated, and dated. Whether the free tier publishes a real address or a watermarked one. And whether you can get your content out.
