Cookie Policy
What Lanpage.co stores in your browser, and why. This covers Lanpage.co itself. The sites our customers publish are covered by their own policies, and we set nothing on them beyond what is described below.
What we set
Three, and all three are doing a job you asked for: a session cookie, so you stay signed in between page loads; a preference cookie remembering the interface language you chose; and a preference cookie remembering whether you asked for the light or the dark interface. That is the whole list — nothing else on Lanpage.co writes to your browser, and no other company is in a position to. If we ever put a CDN in front of these pages it would be able to set its own, mostly for blocking bots, and this page changes on the same day that happens rather than afterwards. If you find a fourth cookie today, write to us, because it means something changed that we have not caught up with.
What we do not set
No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no third-party analytics scripts, and no fingerprinting. We do not sell or share what your browser stores with anyone, and nothing here follows you off Lanpage.co. We do count page views, and the section below is how that happens without storing anything.
How we count page views
We count how many times each page is opened, with Plausible running on a server we operate ourselves. It writes nothing to your browser: no cookie, no local storage, no identifier that survives the page you are on. What it records is the page opened, the site that linked to it, your country, and the kind of browser and device you are using. Your IP address is used to work out the country and is not stored. No other company receives any of it, which is why counting pages adds nobody to the list of providers in our Privacy Policy. A tracker blocker stops it, and nothing on the site breaks when it does.
Published customer sites
A site published on a Lanpage subdomain is static content served from a snapshot. It sets no cookies of its own, and the Plausible counter described above does not run on it. What we do count there is how many times each of its pages is opened, and we count it on our own server rather than in the page: the day, which page, the language asked for, and whether the visit arrived from a search engine, a store listing, a social network, another page of the same site or somewhere else. No script is added to the page, nothing is written to your browser, and nothing that identifies you is kept — not your address, not your device, not an identifier of any kind. What is stored is a count, not a visit. Those counts are shown to that app's owner and to nobody else. Anything a published site measures beyond that is its owner's decision and their policy's to describe. If a visitor submits their address to an email capture form, that address is stored against the app it was submitted to and is visible only to that app's owner.
Why we do not show a consent banner
Everything above is either strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for — staying signed in, staying protected from bots — or a preference you set yourself. Neither is the kind of storage consent rules are written about, and counting page views puts nothing in your browser at all, so there is nothing there to agree to. A banner asking for permission we do not need would be theatre. If we ever add something that does need asking, the banner arrives with it and this section says so.
Turning them off
Your browser can block or clear cookies for Lanpage.co at any time. Blocking the session cookie signs you out and keeps you signed out; clearing the preference cookies resets the interface to its defaults. Nothing else breaks.
